- Junior Translator Officer (JTO) in CSOLS : Candidates having Master Degree in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a Compulsory Subjects OR Master Degree in Any Subject with English Medium and Hindi as a Compulsory Subject in Degree Level And Recognized Diploma Course in Translation from Hindi to English Vice Versa or 2 Year Experience will be eligible for this post.
- Junior Translation Officer (JTO) in Armed Forces Headquarters(AFHQ) : Candidates having Master Degree in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a Compulsory Subjects OR Master Degree in Any Subject with English Medium and Hindi as a Compulsory Subject in Degree Level And Recognized Diploma Course in Translation from Hindi to English Vice Versa or 2 Year Experience will be eligible for this post.

SSC CHT 2026 Exam Pattern & Syllabus (Detailed Overview)
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Hindi Translator (CHT) 2026 examination in two stages: Paper-I (Computer Based Test) and Paper-II (Descriptive Test). The examination is designed to evaluate candidates’ proficiency in Hindi and English languages, along with their translation and writing skills.
Paper-I: Computer Based Examination (Objective Type)
- Subjects: General Hindi & General English
- Total Questions: 200 || Total Marks: 200 || Duration: 2 Hours
Marking Scheme: - Each correct answer carries 1 mark
- There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer
Paper-I is an online (CBT mode) examination consisting of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). It primarily assesses the candidate’s understanding and command of both Hindi and English languages.
Paper-II: Descriptive Examination
